Job summary

Milestone Retirement is hiring a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and ADL support for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care at Lighthouse Memory Care. You will follow resident service plans, communicate with medical staff and families, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

We seek candidates with at least one year in caregiving and six months of supervisory experience, plus strong communication and medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of caregiving experience.
• Six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to MARs.
• Understanding of medical terminology to administer medications.
• First Aid certification required.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow each resident's service plan, including passing medications per physician orders and MARs.
• Document completion of daily tasks and observed changes in residents' conditions.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Supervise staff during working hours.
• Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training and in-service programs.
• Comply with quality improvement programs and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
