Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to manage medications and support ADLs for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will follow service plans, communicate with medical professionals and families, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include passing meds per physician orders, documenting tasks, collaborating with fellow aides, and participating in meals. Must have CNA/HCA credentials and nurse delegation where required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience in a caregiving role or similar function.
• At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records.
• Understanding of medical terminology adequate to administer medications and communicate with medical professionals.
• Certifications as required by state.
• Must be 18 years or older and meet all health requirements, including TB clearance.
• First Aid certification required.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas.
• Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor.

• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides to ensure consistent care.
• Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Manage staff under supervision during working hours.
• Maintain required certifications and attend ongoing training and in-service programs.
• Comply with the CQI program and report issues to supervisor.
• Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen Guidelines.
• Report suspected elder maltreatment or abuse to leadership.
• Work safely and foster a safe work environment for all employees.
• Support teamwork, take initiative, and maintain a positive impact on residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Medication Aide/Tech to provide medication management and support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. In this role, you’ll deliver care in accordance with resident service plans, communicate with medical professionals and families, and ensure residents’ safety and well-being while supporting regulatory compliance.
