Avantara Norton is seeking a Medication Aide to join our nursing team. The role focuses on delivering medications, assisting with daily living activities, and monitoring residents to maintain high standards of care.

• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive medications and high care standards.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living and monitor residents' condition.
• Observe changes in condition and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide education and support to residents and team.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Norton by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
