Job summary

Golden Sands is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to assist our senior residents with daily well-being, medication assistance, and social activities. You will report to the wellness director and contribute to a caring, home-like environment.

Typical duties include nursing treatments, vital signs, medication records, and coordination with healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of medications. Prior caregiving experience is valued; CPR/BLS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable.
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs.
• Maintain medication/treatment records following regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family to ensure medications are received promptly.
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including ADLs and assist with daily living.
• Follow infection control procedures consistently.
• Support dignity, privacy, independence and a home-like environment for residents.

As a medication aide, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, and social-recreational activities. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Currently

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
• Compose reports in English.
