Job summary

An assisted living community in Ocean Park seeks compassionate individuals to join their team as Medication Aides. Your role will involve assisting senior residents with their daily well-being, including medication management and personal care. Candidates must have a CNA or HCA license or certification. Responsibilities

• Assist senior residents with daily well-being, medication, and activities.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and complete nursing treatments.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family for medication needs.
• Maintain medication records and store medications properly.
• Follow resident service plans and assist with daily living activities.
• Follow infection control procedures and support residents' dignity.

6 PM - 6 AM / Schedule is 3 on 4 off, the 4 on 3 off

Willing to work weekends

As a medication aide, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, and social-recreational activities. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will:

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Currently:

• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
• Compose reports in English.
