Job summary

Golden Sands is seeking caring caregivers to assist senior residents with daily living activities, medication assistance, and social/recreational engagement. You will report to the Wellness Director and help maintain a safe, home-like environment.

Training is available for those new to healthcare, with six months of caregiving preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in senior caregiving preferred. Training available for newcomers.
• Must be able to compose reports in English.
• Demonstrate a clean, neat, and safe demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, and medication administration.
• Report problems and changes in resident conditions to the wellness director.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents and staff.
• Follow infection control procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Relate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

As a caregiver, you assist our senior residents in their daily well-being, including personal services, medication assistance, social-recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks. You will report to the wellness director.

You Will

• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and issues with resident apartments, buildings, and grounds with an appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and OSHA guidelines, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

You Currently

• Preferred candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving. If new to healthcare, we will train.
• Exude a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Compose reports in English.
