Job summary

Regency Newcastle in Newcastle, WA, is seeking a Medication Aide to support senior residents with daily well-being, personal care, medication assistance, and social activities. Report to the wellness director and work AM shift (6 AM - 2 PM).

You will complete nursing treatments, maintain records, communicate with physicians and families, handle medications, and follow infection control procedures. We value compassionate care in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA License!
• Typical candidates have six months of experience in senior caregiving or med pass.
• Can obtain CPR/BLS certification
• Compose reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing treatments and monitor residents' vital signs
• Maintain medication/treatment records, comply with regulatory, OSHA, and incident reporting guidelines.
• Communicate with physician, pharmacy, and family as indicated to assure medications are received promptly
• Store medications and equipment and keep the medication room clean and orderly.
• Follow the resident service plan including; assistance, bathing, grooming, administering medication, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), noting changes in the resident condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and follow infection control procedures.
• Support the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.
