Are you passionate about the Medicare population, looking for an opportunity to work in sales with the ability to directly impact your own income potential? Do you have a track record of building trusting relationships in the community and exceeding expectations? If so, we are looking for licensed, highly motivated, and self-driven individuals to join our team.

In this field position, you will build community relationships, drive self-generated sales, and meet sales goals and metrics while working independently. You will interact with Humana’s customers, external business partners, and the community through face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic interactions. Face-to-face activities include grassroots marketing, community events, and visiting prospects in their homes. Our Medicare Sales Field Agents sell individual health plans and educate beneficiaries about our services. Additional products include Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to have daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field
  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain before start date
  • Experience with technology, including laptops, mobile apps, CRM tools, and sales resources
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid state driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance (100/300/100 limits); Motor Vehicle Report required
  • Internet connection with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; wireless, wired, or DSL
  • For residents in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota, internet expenses are reimbursed bi-weekly
  • Work from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI/HIPAA info
  • Must reside within the assigned territory/county

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint
  • Community engagement experience through service or volunteer activities
  • Experience selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual skills (English and another language)
  • Public speaking and presentation experience

Additional Information:

  • Language proficiency assessments are required for non-English speakers, administered by an outside vendor
  • Applicants may be asked to provide their SSN for leader review via a secure email link

Schedule: Flexibility required for appointments and events on nights and weekends.

Training: Mandatory first 3–4 weeks of employment.

Interview Process: Using HireVue technology for initial screening via a recorded Q&A. Successful candidates will be contacted for next steps.

Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $35,000 - $48,200/year plus commission based on performance. Compensation varies by location and experience.
