Job summary

Amazon One Medical's Senior Health Revenue Cycle team seeks a Medical Coder I to support Clinical and Revenue Cycle teams by reviewing the accuracy of claims coding. You will ensure coding aligns with CPT and ICD-10-CM guidelines and support timely responses to requests.

Based in USA, VA, Arlington, you will work with the Medicare Risk Operations group to drive compliant coding outcomes, while maintaining high standards and accountability across operations, systems, and processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience.
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
• 2+ years of applying KPIs to analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field.
• Knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting.
• 1+ years of medical profee coding experience.
• AAPC/CCS CPC certification or AHIMA CCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple coding related projects and ensuring deliverables are up to One Medical standards while being turned around in an acceptable time frame
• Remaining current on CPT, ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic Guidance and CMS Risk Adjustment guidance
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other relevant codes to office visits, procedures, and diagnoses in a production environment
• Responsible for the review and completion of email requests in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with the Medicare Risk Operations team to ensure positive program outcomes
