The role offers full-time hours, benefits, and paid training. The position requires 1 year of medical billing or claims experience, familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid, and strong investigative and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of experience in medical billing, medical collecting or claims processing.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and follow up on open balances and denials.
• Maintain timely follow-up to collect on accounts.
• Handle 20–25 accounts per day depending on volume.
• Make outgoing calls to patients, insurers, and attorneys to check claim status.
• Communicate with hospital staff on receivables issues.
• Identify and resolve issues delaying collections.
• Request adjustments as needed and log changes.
• Update payor, plan, or contract details in the system.
• Meet productivity and collections targets set by management.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
