UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Coder in Las Vegas to support IPA providers with ICD-10-CM coding education for Medicare Advantage risk adjustment. This role includes concurrent chart reviews, training, and collaboration with providers to improve coding accuracy and patient outcomes.

The position requires a high school diploma, coding certification or RN/LPN with a plan to certify within 12 months, and at least one year of ICD-10 coding experience. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Coding certification (AAPC/AHIMA) or RN/LPN with intent to obtain coding cert within 12 months.
• 1+ year experience in ICD-10 coding.

Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent reviews and targeted chart or HEDIS retrievals in provider offices.
• Communicate coding audit findings and CMS/Optum guidelines to providers.
• Conduct coding reviews and routine records retrievals.
