Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Non CDL driver to collect and deliver medical waste containers across San Diego locations with a customer-focused approach. The role starts early, about 3 am, five days a week, offering autonomy, stable hours and competitive benefits.

The position pays $25 per hour with overtime opportunities and a $1,000 new hire bonus after probation. You must meet DOT and safety requirements and maintain vehicle readiness and logs.

Qualifications

• Non CDL with a clean driving record and valid medical card
• Six months of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7-Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Proven longevity in past employment

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks as large as 26ft)
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading
• Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction – delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting – consistently lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs, pushing and pulling 100-250 lbs, as applicable to the role
