Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Material Handler to move and process received waste, maintain a clean floor, and follow safety procedures in our Atlanta-area facility.

The shift is 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm with paid training, uniforms, comprehensive health benefits, tuition reimbursement, and generous PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety protocols.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading/unloading of carts and box waste from trailers.
• Operate tipping and cart washing and perform QC checks for damage and cleanliness.
• Record weights at the box waste scale for billing.
• Maintain unloading and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Follow established safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor and document the number of boxes processed daily.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely waste handling.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.
