Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Material Handler for the night shift to support daily waste processing operations. You will move materials safely, operate cart and autoclave workflows, and help maintain a clean, compliant facility.

This role includes hands-on training, company-provided uniforms, health benefits, tuition reimbursement, vacation/PTO after 90 days, and growth opportunities within a mission-driven industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of warehouse, manufacturing, sanitation, or labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload autoclave carts and box waste safely.
• Move carts through tipping and cart washing equipment.
• Clean containers and equipment using pressure washing tools.
• Inspect carts and containers for cleanliness and damage.
• Weigh box waste and record processing information.
• Bale cardboard and assist with loading trailers for shipment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; perform general housekeeping.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Track and document daily processing and production volumes.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations.
• Assist with process improvements and special projects.
