Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Lake Worth, TX is seeking a diligent Unit Secretary to support the Nursing Management team by coordinating appointments, managing schedules, and handling clerical tasks that keep the unit running smoothly.

You will work closely with doctors, ARNPs, and nursing staff, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and adherence to Joint Commission standards to promote high quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or CRS Certification or MA Certification or CNA Certification is preferred.
• One year of secretary experience in substance abuse or medical field.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments with outside doctor’s offices for clients.
• Answer phones courteously and take messages as needed.
• Organize and maintain the return Meds Pharmacy Spreadsheet.
• Organize and maintain the provider working schedule and nursing staff calendars.
• Communicate call offs and work schedules as needed.
• Acknowledge, report and document all accidents, incidents, errors/omissions.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and DON to review day’s schedule and case management paperwork.
• Compile and maintain information for Infection Control Monthly Report.
• Complete all assigned paperwork neatly, accurately and timely.
