Job summary

Trustmark is seeking an underwriter to support pricing and risk assessment for level funded medical products. You will review applications and claims data, apply guidelines, and collaborate with sales and operations to ensure accurate case strategy and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2–4 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of medical underwriting principles or ability to develop proficiency through training.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting Analysis & Pricing Execution: review applications and data to determine premium rates for new business and renewals.
• Case Collaboration & Decision Support: partner with teams to ensure accurate data, alignment on strategy, and timely execution.
• Documentation & File Quality: maintain complete, accurate underwriting documentation for audits and compliance.
• Tools, Data & Market Awareness: stay familiar with underwriting tools and cost drivers.
• Development & Continuous Improvement: improve understanding of products, processes, and risk evaluation.
