Position Overview

Responsible for basic specimen processing and testing to assist physicians in diagnosing patients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

• None required.

Certifications

Must be certified by one of the following or eligible with certification obtained within 6 months of hire:

• MT, MLS, CLS, or equivalent certifications from recognized agencies such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, or HHS.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to follow laboratory procedures and operate equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with laboratory and hospital computer systems within three months of employment.
