Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. degree with MT (ASCP) or equivalent MT classification recognized by GDCH.
• Certification: MT per ASCP, AAB, AMT or HEW.
• CPR required every two years.

Responsibilities

• Collects, receives and accession specimens.
• Performs and documents laboratory tests and results.
• Performs calibration and records daily QC.
• Maintains logs for maintenance and inventory.
• Performs and records proficiency testing as required.
• Trains new MT/MLT staff and supervises access to PHI per policy.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
