Memorial Hermann SE seeks a Medical Technologist or MLT to join our team on a PRN basis. Schedule: 12 hour shifts, Days. Position is responsible for performing various laboratory tests/procedures as assigned.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in biological science and appropriate certification eligibility. The successful candidate will work with hospital staff to ensure accurate results and safe patient care.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in biological science (equivalency for foreign education).
• Licenses/Certifications: Medical Technologist (ASCP) or AMT; Certified MLS (ASCP) or CLS (ASCP) eligible.
• NAACLS accredited MLS program within the last 5 years or equivalent experience per ASCP/CLA guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Performs and documents test results, quality control, maintenance procedures and affected corrective actions.
• Manages daily lab operations including collections, sample processing, results reporting and clerical duties as required.
• Interacts with hospital staff, physicians and patients regarding specimens and orders and reporting results.
• Complies with policies and standards set by regulatory agencies (TJC, FDA, CAP, AABB, CMS, CLIA).
• Promotes safety, cost efficiency and PI process; supports professional growth of staff.
