Job summary

UVM Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to assist the Laboratory Supervisor and help achieve efficient operation by performing clinical tests, specimen collection and processing, quality control, maintenance, and results reporting. The role supports training and in-service programs to maintain competency as procedures change.

Applicants must have NY licensure or eligibility and appropriate internship/degree credentials with certification

Qualifications

• Licensure/eligibility as CLT in NY; license must be obtained if limited.
• Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related science plus internship or relevant clinical lab experience.
• Degree must meet NYSDOH requirements for a Technologist; math/science credits required.
• ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist Laboratory Supervisor to achieve efficient operation by performing clinical tests.
• Perform specimen collection, processing, quality control, maintenance, and results reporting/verification.
• Participate in training and in-service programs to maintain competency as procedures change or are added.

Skills

Licensed or eligible (NY) CLT

Full NY license within guidelines

Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or相关科

MLT program with internship pathway

Education
