Job summary

Qualifications

• New York licensed or eligible Clinical Laboratory Technician.
• Limited license holders must obtain full NY license per guidelines.
• After 5 years as Medical Lab Technician, may move to Lab Technician II with criteria met.
• Microbiology experience required; if none, other candidates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists Operations & Systems Manager to achieve efficient laboratory operation by performing clinical tests.
• Performs specimen collection, processing, quality control, maintenance, and results reporting and verification.
• Participates in training and in-service programs to maintain competency as procedures evolve.
