Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent required.

• Experience with patient specimen handling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient testing across laboratory departments following established protocols.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control for lab instruments.
• Handle and process specimens with accuracy, ensuring safety and testing compliance.
• Document, review, and report patient test results including critical values.
• Troubleshoot issues affecting test performance and escalate when needed.
• Assist with supervisory duties under the laboratory supervisor.
