Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking a Medical Technologist for a per diem role. You will support routine lab testing, follow standardized procedures, and help ensure timely, accurate results to aid patient care.

Qualifications

• ASCP, AMT, or Tennessee State License is required or preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.
• Collects samples and analyzes bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities.
• Collects blood and studies blood samples used in transfusions.
• Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.
• Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and reporting per standards.
• Performs automated tests using computerized instruments and equipment.
• Runs tests and reports results to physician or nurse.
• Performs Quality Assurance to ensure equipment accuracy.
