Qualifications

• Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent required for Medical Laboratory Technician.
• 3 years clinical experience for Medical Technologist I.
• MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required for Medical Technologist II.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.

Overview:

The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. They provide medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis, performing duties consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Medical Laboratory Technician
• Education: Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
• Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

• OR
• Medical Technologist I
• Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience
• Approved Military Training (if applicable)

• OR
• Medical Technologist II
• Bachelor's degree
• MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required
