Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician - Molecular Pathology

In this role, you will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels at Main Campus, utilizing your understanding of Laboratory Science theories, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to aid in patient care decisions in the Molecular Pathology Lab.

We hire clinical laboratory testing personnel with three different titles based on educational background:

• Medical Technologist
• Med Lab Technician
• Lab Technician

The work hours are days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Maintaining regulatory compliance and quality control activities.
• Ensuring equipment maintenance and proper documentation.
• Participating in proficiency testing and continuing education.
• Identifying and addressing test performance issues.
• Providing training and education to staff and students.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field or meet CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing.
• Licensed in Ohio at the technologist level.
• Licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or other relevant areas.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) or eligibility from ASCP.

Physical requirements include visual acuity, color distinction, manual dexterity, and the ability to stand for long periods. PPE and safety protocols must be followed.
