In this position, you will perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels at Main Campus. Using your understanding of laboratory science theories, technical procedures, and problem-solving skills, you will aid in determining the best care for patients in the Molecular Diagnostics Lab. This role offers extensive hands-on experience with leading researchers and specialists.

We hire clinical laboratory testing personnel in three job titles based on educational background:

• Medical Technologist
• Med Lab Technician
• Lab Technician

Work Schedule: Days from 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

Key responsibilities include:

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and awareness related to job duties.
• Adhere to quality control policies, document activities, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Address quality issues promptly and appropriately.
• Maintain instruments and equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record retention.
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and annual competency assessments.
• Follow established policies when test systems are out of performance ranges.
• Identify and resolve test performance problems or escalate as needed.
• Potentially serve as an educator and trainer in laboratory protocols and safety.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field or meet CLIA high complexity testing qualifications.
• State of Ohio licensure at the technologist level.
• Licenses in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or other relevant areas.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLT, MLS) or eligibility from ASCP.
