Hillsdale Hospital in Hillsdale, MI is seeking a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician (MT/MLT) for the 3rd shift on a full-time basis. The role involves performing qualitative and quantitative tests on specimens and ensuring quality control.

The position offers a 4x10 schedule, mid-shift from 1:30 pm to midnight, with shift premiums and opportunities for education assistance and retirement plans; BLS certification is available through Hillsdale Hospital.

Qualifications

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Masters' degree in medical laboratory technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, or biology
• BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Responsabilités

• Perform qualitative and quantitative tests on specimens (blood, urine, and other body fluids) using analyzers or manual methods
• Ensure regulatory compliance for accreditation
• Establish written policies and procedures for QA, patient test management, quality control
• Assess accuracy and validity of test results and identify critical changes for patient care
• Troubleshoot instruments and document corrective actions
