Job summary

PMHCC, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform diagnostic laboratory tests in a clinical setting in Philadelphia, PA.

The role emphasizes validation, documentation, testing and reporting of antimicrobial resistant gonorrhea and other STIs in support of CDC's HAI program. The candidate will work with automated equipment and perform quality control, instrument maintenance and data reporting under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or biological/chemical sciences.
• ASCP Certification preferred, not required.
• If ASCP Certified, salary will be adjusted accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of standardized lab tests in clinical chemistry, immunology, hematology, microbiology and urinalysis.
• Operates automated testing platforms and analyzers.
• Maintains records of examinations and patient results.
• Ensures quality control, calibration and instrument maintenance.
• Prepares culture media, reagents and controls as prescribed.
• Mentors lower-level technicians and provides technical guidance.
