Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with blood bank experience for a 13-week contract in Michigan. The role requires an afternoon, 10-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekend coverage.

You will perform routine lab procedures, operate analyzers, ensure quality results, and prepare blood products for transfusions, while calibrating equipment and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is required.
• ASCP certification is required.
• Recent blood bank experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blood cells using microscopic techniques and procedures.

• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing technological findings.

Schedule

This position requires an afternoon shift of 10 hours, Monday through Friday, from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with every other weekend from 7:0 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for performing routine laboratory procedures according to standardized methodology. This includes operating laboratory equipment such as analyzers, spectrophotometers, and other related instruments. The role is critical in maintaining quality results, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring accurate test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Assignment Duration
