Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Medical Technologist to collect, process, and analyze biological specimens in the lab. The role includes preparing reagents and acting as backup for the phlebotomy team.

The position requires 2+ years of MLT experience, ASCP certification, and familiarity with Sunquest, Epic, and core chemistry/hematology platforms. 12-hour shifts are available (7 on/7 off, 4x10s, 3x12s). Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MLT experience required.
• Experience with Sunquest and Epic is required.
• Familiarity with Ortho Blood Bank and Chemistry, Siemens coag and urines, Sysmex hematology is required.
• Active ASCP Certification is required.
• Candidate must submit permanent address; local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist is responsible for the collection, processing, and analysis of biological specimens in the laboratory. This position also prepares reagents and possesses comprehensive knowledge of specimen collection methods, such as venipuncture and culture collection, allowing them to act as backup for the phlebotomy team.

• Evaluates appropriateness of patient and quality control results, entering data into the Laboratory information system, while strictly following critical notification policies.
• Maintains inventory, reorders reagents, stocks shelves, and disposes of biohazards and chemicals safely following department protocols.
• Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instruments as required.

Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour shifts in various schedules, including 7 on 7 off, 4*10's, and 3*12's shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of MLT experience is required.
• Experience with Sunquest and Epic is required.
• Familiarity with Ortho Blood Bank and Chemistry, Siemens coag and urines, Sysmex hematology is required.
• Active ASCP Certification is required.
