Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is hiring for a Medical Technologist/MLT/Lab Technician in Clinical Microbiology at the Main Campus. The role is based at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Hospital, in the Clinical Microbiology department, with an evenings shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

The caregiver performs tests at all complexity levels, applies lab theory and problem-solving, and ensures accurate documentation and patient results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological/clinical/medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Meets the CLIA qualifications for high complexity testing personnel grandfathering clause.
• Diploma and/or transcripts must be provided; education will be verified; foreign transcripts require English translation and NACES evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and awareness as it pertains to specific duties.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
