OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team as a Lab Director and Technical/General Supervisor. This dual-role position is responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising technical staff to maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.

This is a full-time, onsite role that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing healthcare environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Lab Director:

• Provide overall direction and management of the laboratory's operations.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
• Review and approve laboratory policies, procedures, and quality management plans.
• Oversee test selection, validation, and implementation of new methodologies.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory and accrediting bodies during inspections and audits.

As Technical/General Supervisor:

• Supervise day-to-day lab activities, including testing, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for lab staff.
• Monitor and evaluate the competency of personnel performing testing procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution of problems.
• Maintain accurate documentation, quality control, and proficiency testing records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field required.
• Must meet CLIA qualifications for both Lab Director and Technical/General Supervisor roles.
• ASCP or AMT certification strongly .
• Minimum of 6 years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory best practices, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
