Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform accurate, timely laboratory testing and to assume department responsibilities in the supervisor's absence. The role requires an Associate Degree (2 years) with a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred, plus a minimum of 1 year of experience.

A Florida Technologist license is required or must be obtainable during interview.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required.
• Florida Technologist License or ability to obtain during interview.
• Licensure in Generalist areas preferred: Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing following procedures and documentation.
• Assume department responsibilities in the supervisor's absence.
• Complete all records pertaining to patient results and机d documentation.
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround times and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
• Use judgment to interpret and correlate patient results and resolve outstanding workload with staff.
