Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Medical Technologist II to join our state-of-the-art laboratory team. You will develop and monitor test systems, perform and interpret lab tests across patient ages, from neonate to geriatric, to support accurate diagnosis and care.

Work hours are 6:30AM–3:00PM with every 4th weekend coverage and rotating weekend requirements. A bachelor's or associate degree in lab science and MLS/CLS certification are required, with ongoing certification eligibility

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.
Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology with certification as MLS/CLS.
Military program graduate with MLS/CLS certification.
Grandfathered Medical Technologist qualifications and current MLS/CLS certification.

Responsibilities

Develops and monitors test systems.
Performs and interprets laboratory tests for diagnosis and care across age groups from neonate to geriatric.
Ensures adherence to proper standards and regulations.
