Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Silverton, OR. This position offers a 24 hours per week schedule with early morning shifts and rotating weekends, supporting patient testing and quality results.

You will perform routine and complex procedures, troubleshoot instrumentation, and uphold safety and quality standards in a collaborative laboratory environment. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and ASCP or AMT

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Silverton, OR.

Work Schedule

24 hours per week Variable days with primary hours of 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. with a rotating weekend schedule (approximately every 4th weekend). Occasional additional shift coverage may be required as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification
