Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a per diem Medical Technologist for night hours. Work includes a rotating schedule with every third weekend and two holiday observances per year.

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with MT preparation.
• Biology/chemistry major or equivalent 30 credit hours in biology, chemistry or medical sciences.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in related fields preferred.
• ASCP MT certification or eligibility required/preferred.
• MT (ASCP) certification or eligibility.
• Certifications MT (HEW)/MT (AMT) exist and acceptable.

Description: Summary

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic is looking for a per diem Medical Technologist.

Shift: PRN Nights, every third weekend, 2 holidays per year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology




• Baccalaureate degree with a major in biological science or chemistry, or baccalaureate degree with a combination of 30 semester hours of biology, chemistry and/or medical sciences, AND meet the training and/or experience requirements for the specific certification




• Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences or an appropriately related field (preferred)




• Possess or be eligible for Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB) by ASCP




• With Bachelor's; MT (ASCP) certification or eligible.




• Certified as MT (HEW)




• Certified as MT (AMT)
