Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Technologist in Phoenix, AZ to join our team. The role involves performing routine and complex tests, monitoring instruments, and ensuring accurate results for patient care on a Tue–Sat night schedule.

The incumbent will work with various reagents and controls, maintain safety, and support QA/QC programs while collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Lab Science, or Medical Technology.
• At least 1 year of Flow Cytometry lab testing experience.
• Proficient with computers and lab information systems.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation per SOPs.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and QC.

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Work Schedule

Tue‑Saturday 10:00pm-6:30am

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Flow Cytometry

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification

Additional Job Standards

• General knowledge in Flow Cytometry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Hematology
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
