Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Lab Supervisor to lead the Flow Cytometry department and oversee daily operations. The role requires ensuring tests are performed accurately, supervising staff, and maintaining QA records while complying with CLIA and state regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, with at least five years in a clinical lab, including flow cytometry, and prior leadership experience. Travel up to 20% is possible.

• 5 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level, including 2 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level in flow cytometry.

• Travel up to 20% to assigned Labcorp sites
• Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department

• Perform administrative duties as needed

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 5 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level, including 2 years of laboratory experience at the technologist level in flow cytometry

Preferred Qualification

• Current or prior Labcorp experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of previous supervisor/leadership experience
• ASCP or AMT certification (or equivalent)

Additional Job Standards

• Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations
• Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
