Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is hiring MT/MLT professionals for full-time roles with competitive pay. Work hours are 8:30am–5:00pm, Mon–Fri with alternating Saturdays; a sign-on bonus is eligible.

You will perform high- and moderate-complexity testing, analyze results, ensure safety and quality control, and protect PHI under privacy standards. A BS in Medical Technology or related field with NYS license is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• NYS License (Medical Technologist OR Medical Lab Technician).

Responsibilities

• Perform high- and moderate-complexity testing using hematology, coagulation, urinalysis and blood bank analyzers.
• Analyze, review, and report testing results.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.

LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801

HOURS: 8:30am - 5:00pm; Monday to Friday w/alternating Saturdays

FULL TIME: Benefits eligible

PAY RATE: MT $38.00 to $54.00 per hour (depending on experience) and MLT $30.00 to $49.00 per hours (depending on experience)

In This Role, You Will

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing using state of the art hematology, coagulation, urinalysis and blood bank analyzers
• Analyze, review, and report testing results
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All You Need Is

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• NYS License (Medical Technologist OR Medical Lab Technician)
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
