Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform tests on blood, urine and other body fluids with accuracy and independence. You will apply MT/CLS skills to support patient diagnosis and care in a high-volume laboratory.

Responsibilities include routine and specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical and immunoassay procedures, plus communication with physicians and care teams to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT/CLS) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex or specialized bacteriological, hematological, chemical, immunological and immunoassay procedures on body fluids.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses and other care teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Demonstrate accuracy for all testing performed.
• Perform related quality control and proficiency testing according to policy and procedure.
