Qualifications

• B.S. degree required with accredited MT/MLS program.
• CLIA-compliant laboratory training or ABHES/NAACLS accreditation preferred.
• ASCP (M.T./MLS) certification preferred.
• 60 semester hours in medical lab technology or related sciences required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procedures, including emergency and routine patient testing.
• Conduct quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Qualify as General Supervisor designate per CLIA when the Section Supervisor/Manager is absent.
• Shift covers Central Lab Microbiology; Night shift covers Blood Bank and Stat Microbiology.

Education

A B.S. and successful completion of an accredited MT/MLS program

A B.S in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science including a Laboratory training program or accredited by the ABHES, NAACLS

M.T. or MLS (ASCP) preferred

A B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science degree that includes 60 semester hours of medical lab technology courses or other sciences as specified by CLIA
