New graduates must pass a national certification exam within 18 months of hire, with ongoing competency assessment and continuing education required throughout employment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Medical Technology or related science field (must meet MT certification requirements).
• MT certification by ASCP, AMT or AAB or other recognized agency.

Responsibilities

• Generalist MT position covering Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Clinical Microscopy, Coagulation, Immunology, Special Chemistry and Microbiology.
• Perform competency assessments and maintain continuing education in laboratory sciences.
