Job summary

Archbold Medical Center seeks a Generalist Medical Technologist to perform and support testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Clinical Microscopy, Coagulation, Immunology, Special Chemistry and Microbiology.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Medical Technology and MT certification (ASCP/AMT/AAB) or equivalent, with eligibility to sit for certification exams within 18 months if a new graduate. Ongoing competency and continuing education are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Medical Technology or related science field (must meet MT certification requirements).
• MT certification by ASCP, AMT or AAB or other nationally recognized agency.
• New graduates must pass one national certification exam within 18 months of hire.
• Competency assessment and continuing education in laboratory sciences required.
• Maintenance of certification required during Archbold employment.
• Compliance with Georgia Department of Human Resources certification requirements.
