Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, MO is seeking a Medical Technologist (MLS) for a PRN schedule to perform routine and complex laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

The ideal candidate will hold MT/MLS/CLS certification (ASCP/NCA/BB/IS/CI) or be registry eligible, with certification obtained within 1 year of hire; 1–2 years of hospital lab experience preferred; PRN requires open availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related science required OR Grandfathered as a medical technologist by CLIA 88.
• MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification or registry eligible; certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
• Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipment, and monitoring quality control measures.
