Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a Hematology night shift technologist to join the hematology department and perform a variety of tests including CBC with differential, urinalysis, blood bank, coagulation, and HbA1c. You will be responsible for accurate results and safety compliance in a fast-paced lab.

The role requires a BS in Medical Technology or related field with MT training, ASCP certification, and 1 year of high-complexity testing experience; bonus for 2+ years in the specialty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing within area of specialty

Responsibilities

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
• Analyze, review, and report testing results
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions

This position within the hematology department encompasses a wide variety of testing, including CBC with differential, urinalysis, blood bank, coagulation, RPR, and HbA1c.

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
• Analyze, review, and report testing results

All you need is:
