Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join a top-tier hospital in Houston.

Key Responsibilities :

Ensure the suitability of specimens and verify patient demographic information.

Perform and evaluate routine and specialized lab procedures , ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Recognize abnormal test results and implement appropriate problem-solving procedures.

Provide age-appropriate care using the correct protocols and instrumentation.

Respond quickly to emergency situations and STAT requests to ensure timely care delivery.

Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot specimen issues and maintain quality standards.

Document all clinical information accurately and report quality control concerns as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Materials Management, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Nursing, or a related healthcare / technical field. (Required)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a laboratory setting.

Specialized Skills : General lab experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis experience with at least 3 to 4 years working experience in Hematology and general Chemistry. EPIC Beaker LIS experience preferred.

Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with laboratory operations and equipment such as blood analyzers, centrifuges, gamma cell irradiators, microscopes, and more.

Certification (Required) : Must hold one of the following :

MT-STATE, MT-AAB, MT-AMT, CLSP, IMLS, BB-ASCP, C-ASCP, H-ASCP, MLS-ASCP, MT-ASCP, M-ASCP, MB-ASCP, or MP-ASCP.

Schedule : Night shift 7pm to 7 : 30am.

Compensation : Starting at $44 / hour (based on experience) + benefits
