CORE Occupational Medicine is seeking an experienced Medical Technician to join our team at our Port Arthur, TX site. This PRN position offers a rewarding work environment and competitive benefits. Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license, if applicable.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Pass DISA Background Check.
• Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening.
• TWIC Card (preferred).
• Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
• Performs Respirator Fit testing.
• Performs Pulmonary Function Test.
• Obtains basic history, medical information, and takes vital signs.
• Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician.
• Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations.
• Performs safe venipuncture.
• Performs 12-lead EKGs.
• Performs audiometric screening.

Position Responsibilities

• Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results

• Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC

Duties

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures
• Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures
• Performs Respirator Fit testing
• Performs Pulmonary Function Test
• Obtains basic history, medical information, and takes vital signs
• Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols
• Performs collection of vital signs, visual acuity and color testing
• Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements
• Performs safe venipuncture
• Performs urine dipstick testing
• Performs 12‑lead EKGs
• Performs audiometric screening
• Performs other duties as required

Position Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license, if applicable
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Pass DISA Background Check
• Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening
