Job summary

Corehealthnet is seeking a Medical Technician for the Sulphur, LA site to join our occupational medicine team. The role involves collecting vital signs, conducting drug screens, and performing routine clinical tasks within a fast-paced environment.

Both full-time and PRN positions are available, with day shifts from Monday to Friday. The candidate should be bilingual (English/Spanish) with CPR/BLS certification and the ability to read and comprehend medical information.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation with up-to-date insurance.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
• Performs urine drug screen collections, including observed collections.
• Obtains basic history and medical information, and takes vital signs.
• Performs collection of vital signs, visual acuity and color testing.
• Performs other duties as required.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Technician to join our team at our Sulphur, LA, site. Full-time and PRN positions are available Mon-Fri, day shifts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to work independently


• Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail


• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.


• Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.


• Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.


• Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.


• Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.


• Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.

DUTIES:

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.


• Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.


• Perform urine drug screen collections, including observed collections in accordance with federal and company guidelines. Observed collections must be conducted by an observer of the same gender as the donor. Because the majority of observed collections involve male patients, the technician must be able to perform observed collections for male donors when required.


• Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs


• Performs collection of vital signs, performs visual acuity and color testing.


• Performs other duties as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred


• Current CPR/BLS Certification


• Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening


• TWIC Card (preferred)


• Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)


• Must have available transportation with up to date insurance coverage


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
