Job summary

CORE, LLC in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Medical Technician to join our Occupational Medicine team. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm and offers a rewarding work environment with competitive benefits and salary.

Candidates should hold a current Medical Assistant certificate with state license, CPR/BLS, and ideally some Occupational Medicine experience. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing.
• Obtains basic history, medical information, and takes vital signs.
• Performs 12‑lead EKGs and collects urine specimens as required.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Technician to join our team at our Deer Park, TX site. In addition to a rewarding work environment, we offer our professionals competitive benefits and salary. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:00pm.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to work independently


• Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail


• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.


• Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.


• Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.


• Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.


• Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.


• Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.

DUTIES

• Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.


• Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.


• Performs Respirator Fit testing.


• Performs Pulmonary Function Test


• Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs


• Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.


• Performs collection of vital signs, Performs visual acuity and color testing.


• Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements.


• Performs 12 lead EKGs.


• Performs other duties as required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Medical Assistant Certificates with state license (preferred)


• Current CPR/BLS Certification


• Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees


• Previous Occupational Medicine experience (preferred)
