Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess: Performs assessment of physical, social, and psychological status; gathers information from patient, family, physician, and other team members.
• Plan: Develops an individualized plan of care with patient, family, and team input.
• Implement: Directs care by coordinating and delegating tasks to the interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate: Measures outcomes and revises the plan as needed.
• Professionalism: Adheres to legal/ethical standards, documents accurately, and maintains licensure compliance.
